Dr. Duygu Onay-Coker obtained her Master’s Degree from Ankara University, Faculty of Languages History and Geography, Department of Systematic Philosophy and Logic. She received her PhD degree from Ankara University, Communication Faculty, Department of Journalism in 2016. Her PhD dissertation was on the possibilities of Paul Ricoeur philosophy in the context of the ethical problems of Mainstream and Alternate media. In 2013-2014, she carried out part of her PhD research at Boston College, USA as a visiting scholar with Professor Richard Kearney. She has national and international academic conference proceedings and published papers. She studies Mainstream and Alternative Journalism, Journalism Ethics, Philosophy of Paul Ricoeur, Hermeneutics and Phenomenology.
