Catalog Description
The course offers studies on the use of different urban representation tools and methods to develop an aptitude to express students’ approach towards built environment, design ideas, urban form and components. The topics discussed throughout the course are: Basic spatial communication tools in architecture & planning; types of graphics used in design process; mapping in architecture and urbanism; components of urban form, urban pattern, built fabric, model making techniques and materials, site analysis, site development, contextual analysis, conceptual analysis and algorithmic presentation, spatial analysis.
