Numerical error analysis. Solution of nonlinear equation. Solution of linear and nonlinear system of equations. Numerical approximation and interpolation. Numerical differentiation and integration. Solution of ordinary and partial differential equations.

This course aims to introduce numerical techniques in electronics engineering.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
(1) Learn the basics of numerical analysis and scientific computing,
(2) Identify and solve linear and nonlinear systems,
(3) Learn how to solve linear systems in an optimal sense,
(4) Apply analytical and numerical techniques on optimization,
(5) Learn how to convert a discrete signal to a continuous signal,
(6) Solve differential equations given initial conditions or boundary conditions.
