Asist Prof. F. Zehra Ünlü Kaynakçı have graduated from Hacettepe University, the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling in 2008. After completing her undergraduate education, she worked as a school counselor at Halide Nusret Zorlutuna Primary School, Şanlıurfa, associated with the Ministry of National Education (MONE), between 2008-2010. Then, she started her integrated Ph.D. education (Master’s + Ph.D. together) in Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program at the Department of Educational Sciences at Middle East Technical University. Since then, she has also been working as a research assistant at this department. During her Ph.D. education, she joined the Department of Psychology, Kent State University, as a visiting scholar for six months in 2014. She received a PhD degree from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling in 2017. She has worked as an assistant professor at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University for nearly five years. She is currently an assistant professor at TED University. Her research interests include mindfulness, emotion regulation, psychological distress, grief, resilience and self-care.
