Basic concepts of assessment and evaluation. Developing research design. Deciding on data collection tool based on the purpose of the study. Developing interview protocols. Developing surveys. Developing observation protocols. Developing academic achievement tests. Developing Likert-type scale. Deciding on data collection tools based on the characteristic of the sample. Preparing data collection tools, adapting and considering field and ethical issues when applying the prepared tools. Validity and reliability of qualitative and quantitative data collection tools.

Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. ölçme-değerlendirme ilgili kavramları ile değerlendirmenin amaçlarını ve ilkelerini tanımlar.
2. değerlendirme ile öğrenme ve öğretim arasındaki ilişkiyi ifade eder.
3. farklı değerlendirme yaklaşım, yöntem ve araçlarını karşılaştırır.
4. farklı yaş gruplarıyla, farklı ortamlarda, farklı bilgi kaynakları kullanarak çeşitli değerlendirme araçları geliştirir.
