Definition of psychology. History of psychology. Fields of psychology (social psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, etc.). Psychological theories (behavioristic theories, cognitive theories, existential theory, etc.). Biological bases of psychology. Intelligence and its theories. Sensation and perception. Learning and memory. Personality and its theories. Abnormal behaviors. Motivation. Emotion. Defense mechanisms.

This course aims to examine the basic concepts, perspectives, theories, and subfields of psychology.
