Catalog Description
Out-of-school education and learning concepts. The scope and the importance of out-of-school learning. Teaching in out-of-school environment. Instructional methods and techniques appropriate for out- of-school learning environments (project-based learning, station technique etc.) and teaching materials. Out-of-school learning environments (museums, science centers, zoos, botanical gardens, planetariums, industrial institutions, national parks, science festivals, science camps, natural environments etc.). Improvement of out-of-school areas and environment. Out-of-school activities.
Course Objectives
This course aims to equip students with the knowledge of basic principles related to planning, practice and the evaluation of out-of-school learning activities.
