Catalog Description
Purpose of digital media literacy in early childhood education. Roles and responsibilities of teachers and parents about digital media use in early childhood education. Activity plans and learning environments designed by digital media tools such as web 2.0, animation, digital books/stories, digital apps and games qualified for young children.
Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to equip pre-service early childhood educators with the knowledge about digital media such as web 2.0, animation, digital books and aps and etc.and the methods to benefit from them in early childhood education by planning activities that require digital literacy and designing environment with digital media tools appropriate for young children.
