Catalog Description
Theoretical and practical perspectives on writing and teaching writing. The role of writing in language teaching. Individual and contextual factors in the process of writing and teaching speaking. Methods and techniques of teaching writing in the English language classrooms. Global Scale of English and writing learning outcomes. Assessment of writing.
Course Objectives

This course aims to enable the students to become competent in teaching writing. It presents the theoretical and practical perspectives of first writing, and then, teaching writing skills. It discusses the role of writing in the language learning process as well as the individual and contextual factors influencing the learning and teaching writing process. In addition to the assessment methods of writing, methods and techniques of teaching writing are aimed to be introduced to the students.

  2. prepare individual, pair, group, and whole class writing lessons,
