Organizational structure and regulations of various schools. A typical day of an English teacher at various school contexts. Foreign language learner characteristics of different age groups. Classroom environment of different age groups. Language teaching activities designed for various learner groups. Evaluation and assessment methods for different age groups.
Course Objectives

The main objective of the course is to make students familiar with teaching English at various schools. It aims to create opportunities for observing various classroom levels and language learners from different age groups. The content of the course is designed to familiarize students with the different cognitive and linguistic abilities of foreign language learners at different ages. It includes such age groups as (very) young learners, teenagers and adults. The goal of the course is to enable students to observe organizational structure and regulations of various schools and the competencies of foreign language learners at different ages as well as the pedagogical activities designed for different age groups. This course also aims at enabling students with different types of materials used in various contexts and levels in the frame of students' needs.

  2. report the classroom environment designed for language learners from different age groups,
  3. describe the instructional strategies used by language teachers working at different educational levels, 
  4. differentiate the cognitive and linguistic abilities of language learners from different age groups,
  5. evaluate the materials used for different language learner groups in line with the individual needs of these groups.
