Observation of different educational programs and co-teaching in international schools. School culture. The functioning and organizational structure of the school. Learning environments. Observation documentation techniques and tools.
Course Objectives
This course aims to becoming familiar with primary education settings, young children and primary education teaching as a profession.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- observe children’s developmental characteristics and learning processes,
- identify characteristics of educational environments, teacher-child interactions and classroom practices,
- make reflective observations related to teaching methods and techniques peculiar to primary education,
- explain organizational structure of schools,
- implement different documentation tools and techniques.
