Catalog Description
Fundamental concepts (population, sample, parameter, statistics, variable). Sampling, organizing data and data analysis (frequency distribution, polygon, histograms and pie charts). Measures of spread central tendency. Sampling distribution and estimation. Confidence interval concept. Interval estimation for the difference of two mass averages. Interval estimation for the ratio of two mass variances. Binomial parameter interval estimation for p. Hypothesis testing, correlation and regression.
Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide students with a deep understanding of several probability concepts. In addition to this, students will conduct several calculations for probability of different events.
