Observation of different educational programs and co-teaching in international schools. School culture. Organizational structure of schools. Educational environments, children and teachers. Tools to observe school culture and students’ development.
Course Objectives
This course aims students to become familiar with middle school education settings, young children and middle school education teaching as a profession.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. describe the curriculum used in different educational programs in international schools,
2. perform clinical observations of mathematics classroom practices, school culture and organizational structure,
3. evaluate planning, implementation and evaluation activities based on instructional needs,
4. evaluate student development in the mathematics learning context,
5. perform co-teaching practices in international school,
6. perform reflection on observation and co teaching practices.
