This course aims to enable students to have the opportunity to participate in teaching processes at middle schools, make reflective lesson observations, plan lessons, conduct teaching practices, use appropriate evaluation techniques in addition to reflecting on their experience in the course.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. implement field-specific teaching methods and techniques,
2. demonstrate knowledge of middle school mathematics curriculum in planning, teaching and evaluation,
3. plan appropriate mathematics learning experiences,
4. design activities and materials appropriate to students' levels and needs,
5. implement lessons individually or with peers and mentors,
6. employ multiple assessment techniques to monitor learning and instruction in a middle school setting,
7. perform reflection on learning and experience in the process.
