Catalog Description
Prerequisite: Consent of the Department / Identification, definition, and formulation of a complex real-life industrial engineering problem in a manufacturing or service organization. System analysis. Conceptual systems design.
Course Objectives

The goal of this course is to expose students to a real-life industrial engineering problem observed in a manufacturing or service organization and to the initial phases of a system design. In this course, students identify and define an industrial engineering problem, analyze the current system, design the system and its architecture conceptually, and formulate models that help analyze and/or solve the problems.
